Brodie & Bull

Brodie & Bull is a conceptual boutique hotel experience located in Durham, North Carolina, set within the historic Brodie Duke Tobacco Factory. The concept reimagines the former industrial space as a high-end yet quirky hotel that reflects Durham’s rich history and creative culture. The goal of the project was to create a hotel experience that feels unique, welcoming, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

The brand focuses on delivering a cohesive guest experience through thoughtful design and branding elements, including typography, signage, interior details, and merchandise. Original architectural features of the factory are preserved and paired with modern design elements to create a balance between historic character and contemporary comfort. Every aspect of the hotel is intentionally designed to feel memorable and authentic, offering guests a distinctive stay that is both elevated and approachable.

Connected to Brodie & Bull is The Herd, a restaurant concept that highlights Durham’s local food culture through locally grown produce and responsibly sourced meats. The restaurant provides guests with a unique dining experience that celebrates the flavors and community of Durham, further strengthening the hotel's connection to its local roots.
